Awais brings close to two decades of experience in real estate, private equity and investment management across the Middle East, North America and Europe. His expertise spans direct investments, joint ventures and co-investments, with a strong track record in strategy formulation, transaction origination, underwriting, due diligence, capital structuring, asset management and successful exits.
Prior to joining Ominvest, Awais spent more than twelve years at GFH Financial Group where he led the international real estate investment platform and executed transactions across logistics, residential, office, hospitality as well as other sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, education, business & industrial services. Earlier in his career, he worked with leading regional and international institutions on real estate and private equity investments, portfolio management and joint venture development.
Awais is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom and a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and attended executive development programs at Harvard Business School, INSEAD and London Business School.
